Ardelle in D.C. and an Important Radio Show featuring NEA Winners

Thank you Bruce Slifer for some scenes from your sail to Washington, D.C.
Bob Brophy, Harold Burnham, Henry Szostek, Pierre Erhard, Bruce Slifer, and Mike Dyer. Three men from Essex, one from Gloucester, one from Wenham, and one from Beverly. Good seagoing folks all.

Harold sailed to Washington to accept his National Heritage Fellowship Award from the National Endowment for the Arts (the nation's highest honor in the folk and traditional arts). We are thrilled for him and extremely proud!  The award ceremony takes place on Wednesday, October 3rd at the Library of Congress.

At 7:30 on Thursday night, October 4th, there is a concert at George Washington University which will be webcast live at www.arts.gov. During the concert Harold will be interviewed about his work by Nick Spitzer, the host of public radio's American Routes
